We welcome you to our farm website and hope that you fall in love with alpacas the way we did. We enjoy the alpaca lifestyle. Our extended alpaca family lives only 20 feet from the back door of the farmhouse and we wouldn't have it any other way. Now it’s a different story sometimes with the human family members. They seem to want to stay also.

Clearview Alpaca farm is nestled in the rural area of Essex County. We are located within 1 hour of Richmond and just minutes from the Rappahannock River. The farm is comprised of 260 acres of farmland, pastureland, woods, creeks and the happiest alpacas around. Donna and Guerry Higgason became proud alpaca owners in 2006. Donna grew up on a farm with a wide array of animals and Guerry is a city boy that has learned to love the country life. Guerry is retired and gives the alpacas 24/7 attention hardly ever leaving the farm. Donna works full time owning a real estate appraisal company and managing the day to day activities related to the business. Bloodlines include Hemingway, Caligula, Allianza, Simba, The Aga Khan, PPeruvian King, and so on. Our goal is quality not quantity. Each alpaca on our farm is halter trained and given special attention every single day. Our animals are well nurtured with great regard to high quality hay and replanted rotated pastures annually. Not having any children of our own we feel that our animals are our children and take great pride in their overall health, fleece, show ribbons and most of all that they feel truly loved. We offer continous and extensive support to our customers. We welcome farm visitors and would love to just talk "alpaca" with anyone interested. Our friends are tired of it, I think.
